The other day I noticed a lady on the street carrying a bunch of letters to the post office and the whole scene warmed my heart. Maybe I’m old-fashioned, but I think there is something special in hand-written letters and greeting cards. I love to send and receive them.
Soooo, I’ve seen these, these and these beautiful crocheted stars floating around Pinterest and thought it would be nice to send them to our loved ones for Christmas along with a simple note. The cool thing is that the stars can be used as an ornament for the Christmas tree as well.
Here is what you will need:
First choose which star you want to make and follow the instructions in the links above to make one. Since the hook size and the yarn weight doesn’t really matter, you can use anything you have at hand. I used worsted weight yarn and a crochet hook H (5.00 mm). I really like the puffed star pattern from Penny Peberdy, so I mostly made my stars using that pattern. All the stars are easy to make and you will need to know just a few basic crochet stitches. And they work out fast.
After you have your star you will need to make a note. Here is how you can make it:
Now, go and send your greeting star to someone you love and warm their heart for Christmas!
